Last week, Nodaway Valley High School’s Homecoming Court stopped by NVMS for lunch! It was a fun chance for middle school students to visit with the court and share in the Homecoming excitement.

The Homecoming parade is on! We’ve made a few adjustments to the time and location to help avoid the downpours.

1:20 p.m. – The Homecoming Pep Assembly and Coronation will begin in the high school gym.
2:15 p.m. – Parade lineup begins at Fox Welding West.
2:30 p.m. – The parade begins and will travel east to the square.
Dismissal from Greenfield will remain the same.
On Wednesday, members and the agronomy class competed at district soils contests. The agronomy class was able to apply the concepts that we had been learning about to real-world scenarios. We had two teams receive gold ratings and one team receiving silver. One team placed fourth overall to advance to state!
Members who competed today from left to right:
McKenzie Lilly, Ioviano Peterson, Kerry Conner, Fynn Thompson, Mason Johnson, Thomas Herrick, Paul Kading, Luke Kading, Haden Colton, and Melanie Kilborn.
Four members will compete at state in Ames on October 8th.

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and it’s a great reminder that every school day counts!
Regular attendance helps students stay connected, keep up with learning, build strong relationships, and develop habits that support future success. Even a few missed days here and there can add up over the course of the school year.
Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for making attendance a priority. Every day in school is another opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and succeed!

Randy Hochstatter was recognized for his hard work throughout July, detailing every vehicle—big and small—in the school district’s fleet.
Tim Wilson was recognized for his work in August updating the names on the vehicles received from Orient-Macksburg.
Thank you, Randy and Tim, for your hard work and dedication!
