News and Information . . .

Costa Rica—Mrs. McCutchan and Señor Shantz are planning a trip to Costa Rica during spring break of 2015. This is a 10-day trip for just under $2000. Monthly payment plans are available. We will participate in educational as well as cultural activities. We will view volcanoes closeup, enjoy the hot springs, kayak on Lake Arenal, go horseback riding, experience zip lining, visit a nature reserve, visit a school, learn to dance salsa, plant trees, spend time on the beach of the Pacific Coast and on the last day we will go white water rafting. This is quite an educational adventure.

If you have any questions, email or call (641-743-6141) Mrs. McCutchan (nmccutchan@nodawayvalley.org) or Señor Shantz (sshantz@nodawayvalley.org) by May 15.

ImageEarly Release Wednesdays—Please remember that during the 2013-2014 school year we will have a one-hour early release each Wednesday. This time will be used for professional development designed to improve student achievement. This is different than what we have done in the past but we think it is a necessary change to better meet collaboration and peer review requirements plus we think teacher collaboration is a powerful way to improve instruction in the classroom.

Image JMC Parent Access—Parents of students in Grades 4-12 may access their student grade, lunch and report card information by logging into JMC. Watch this video to learn how to use this tool.
