Notification System—We are implementing a telephone broadcast system that will enable school personnel to notify all households and parents by phone within minutes of an event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start as well as general announcements or reminders. We will continue to report school closings due to snow or weather on radio & TV stations. To check for recent messages that your school may have sent to your home, work or cell number call 1-855-955-8500.
When used, the service will call all phone numbers in our parent contact lists and will deliver a recorded message from a school administrator. The caller ID will display 641-743-6127, which is the main number for Nodaway Valley. Please be sure to notifiy the school of any changes to your contact information. If you have questions, please contact the Superintendent's Office at 743-6127. [SchoolReach Notification System]
NV Edmodo—Edmodo is a free and secure social learning network for teachers, students and schools. Edmodo provides classrooms a safe and easy way to connect and collaborate, offering a real-time platform to exchange ideas, share content, and access homework, grades and school notices. Edmodo is available for all teachers to use but will be used primarily by 7-12 staff.
Parents can sign up to follow their students to have access to student assignments and to message teachers. To sign up, contact one of your student's teachers for a parent code. Then click on the NV Edmodo link and use the Parent Sign Up link. Once you have signed up, you can add the parent code for other students in your household.
