State GolfCongratulations to Jackson L, who qualified for the State Golf Tournament this Friday and Saturday in Marshalltown.  Jackson finished second overall at the District Tournament at CAM last week. Jackson shot a 3 over par 35-39-74 to move in a tie for second. This is with a triple bogey on his 9th hole. Otherwise, he shot par for the course. He won the first playoff hole vs. Ben Clement of Earlham for the runner-up placing. Jackson had a great second shot and missed on his birdie putt but was able to get par while Ben left his second shot short and picked up his ball after missing his par putt. —Coach Shantz

High School AttendanceClick here to view the new Board-approved high school student attendance policy effective immediately.  Please note: student absences due to a doctor’s appointment must have a doctor’s note and students will not be allowed to leave the building to go home or to their vehicles to retrieve items.  These attendance policy changes also impact eligibility for post-secondary education opportunity/online/academy classes.

After School Study Time at Middle School—As we begin second semester, we are starting a program to help students make up assignments and assessments. We will intervene weekly if a student is failing or scoring 2.0 in a class. Most likely it means a student has missing assignments or assessments. This program will be updated every Monday. We are hoping by intervening early and requiring students to stay after school, students will get caught up, increase learning and will see the importance of meeting deadlines.
